MOTORCYCLIST SUSTAINS LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES

A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries when he apparently lost control while headed southbound on Interstate Five between Canyonville and Riddle on Tuesday night.

A report from the Oregon State Police said at about 8:00 p.m. the motorcycle struck the left-hand guardrail several times before it went to the ground. Motorists provided care for the victim until medical personnel arrived. The 75-year old man was flown by REACH Air Ambulance to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
