Roseburg Police jailed a man after he allegedly tired to pick a fight Saturday morning.
An RPD report said just after 6:30 a.m. officers were dealing with a separate issue at Denny’s on West Harvard when they were approached by 42-year old Brandon Kitzmiller who was acting strangely.
The report said he was asked to move along and then got into traffic before getting into an incident at the Chevron station next door. The officers interrupted and the report said the suspect turned violent towards police. The man started taking his shirt off to prepare for a fight so officers attempted to detain him. After a brief struggle, Kitzmiller was taken into custody.
Charges included resisting arrest, second degree disorderly conduct and harassment. Bail was set at $11,250.
