Covering coastal Douglas County:

In conjunction with the Coos Forest Protective Association’s regulations, the Reedsport Fire Department has dropped the fire danger level to “HIGH” effective immediately.

A release said chainsaw and other landscaping equipment is allowed between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. A charged water hose and/or a 5-pound fire extinguisher must be present at the work area.

Campfires, charcoal fires, cooking fires, warming fires or any open flame are not allowed within the Reedsport City limits. Portable propane stoves are allowed. Contact the City of Reedsport for more information.
