Northeast Winchester Street in Roseburg will close for construction, beginning on Friday night.
A release from the City of Roseburg said the closure will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the street reopening at 7:00 a.m. Monday.
During the closure, contractors will continue road repairs, conducting a two-foot excavation of the road for new rock and asphalt. All north and southbound traffic will be diverted to Northeast Stephens Street. Detour route signs will be posted prior to the closure. Drivers who use Northeast Winchester, will be required to use alternate routes.
The work was scheduled for last weekend, but was delayed due to the hazardous air quality at that time. For more information on the project, contact the Public Works Department at 492-6730.
