The rider of a motorized bicycle was hurt in a collision with a pickup in Roseburg on Tuesday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 8:00 p.m. the rider was eastbound on West Harvard near Fairhaven. The driver was turning onto the side street from Harvard and didn’t see the rider, according to his statement.
The 27-year old rider was transported to Mercy Medical Center with a complaint of back and leg pain. He was treated and released. The driver was cited for failing to yield to a bicycle on a sidewalk, while the bicyclist was cited for violation of required bicycle equipment.
