MAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGED STRANGULATION INCIDENT CREEK

A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged strangulation incident on Monday.

A report from Roseburg Police said on September 8th, 29-year old Cody Boots was reportedly involved in a disturbance with a female at Gaddis Park. The report said the suspect allegedly spit on the victim and choked her to the point that she could not breathe. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. Boots left the scene before police arrived.

Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. the suspect was contacted at the Grand Apartments and was arrested on several warrants and for crimes related to the incident. He was also a theft suspect on an unrelated case and was charged with that as well.

Boots was held for strangulation, harassment, second degree theft and for a warrant that was out for his arrest. He was detained without bail.
