Due to smoke hazards and poor air quality, all City of Roseburg buildings are closed until further notice.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said that City Hall, the Public Safety Center, and the Roseburg Public Library are closed until it is safe for staff to return.
With the current Air Quality Index for Roseburg considered hazardous, Johnson said management is looking into options on mitigating smoke exposure while inside public buildings. Until then, residents are urged to stay indoors and avoid outdoor exposure.
The City Council meeting scheduled for Monday night will take place on Zoom. It will be broadcast via Facebook Live, on the City’s website and on Charter Cable Channel 191. Go to www.cityofroseburg.org for more information.
