Based on Extreme fire danger and the Douglas Forest Protective Association’s current restrictions, county officials are reminding residents that all open campfires are currently banned in all county parks and campgrounds.

A release from the Board of Commissioners said that propane fires are allowed at this time. Residents are asked to use extreme caution in and around the parks and while outdoors.
