An evacuation shelter for those displaced by the Archie Creek Fire continues to be open at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army have set up the shelter in Douglas Hall. Call each organization directly for specific information.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office continues to update maps showing the current evacuation zones. That is available at www.dcso.com/evacuations. Deputies and troopers from Oregon State Police are patrolling residential areas inside the evacuation zone in an effort to deter and detect criminal activities during the evacuation period. Residents who have video surveillance or cameras, should report any suspicious activity that they observe.
