The Glide School District is closed Tuesday due to the nearby French Creek Road fire.

Superintendent Mike Narkiewicz told News Radio 1240 KQEN it is very smoky in the Glide area with the wind howling. Narkiewicz said this was supposed to be the first day of in-person instruction since March. He said officials are concerned about all the houses threatened and for the safety of those fighting the fire.
