Deputies and search and rescue crews are actively searching for a missing Idleyld Park man.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said 82-year old Jack Lawrence was last seen leaving his residence on Saturday in a dark blue 1990 Toyota single cab pickup with Oregon license plate 234ADZ. The vehicle has a brush bumper, white bow hunting sticker in the back window and a diamond plate tool box. O’Dell said Lawrence will be in the company of a white Pomeranian named “Trigger”.
Lawrence is reported to be an avid outdoorsman and is known to frequent Whistlers Bend Park, Singleton Road and wooded areas outside of Idleyld Park including Apple Creek, Panther Creek, Willow Flats, Thunder Mountain and Grotto Falls.
Lawrence is reported to have a CB in his vehicle and monitors channels 9, 10, and 14.
He is described as being five foot eleven, 285 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. O’Dell said he is likely wearing blue jeans, white shoes and possibly has a blue jacket with him.
DCSO is asking people frequenting the wooded areas of Douglas County to watch for Lawrence or his vehicle and report any possible sightings by calling 440-4471.
