Police and fire officials are investigating two recent fires in the Lookingglass Road area.

Kyle Reed of the Douglas Forest Protective Association said they are suspicious in nature and may be related. The first fire occurred Thursday afternoon and burned a half acre of wildland fuels. The second fire burned a quarter acre of grass on Friday.

DFPA along with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police are trying to identify the responsible person. Anyone with information about either fire is asked to contact either DFPA or DCSO.
