A 46-year old man was jailed after a disturbance at Civil Bend Cemetery on Civil Bend Street in Winston on Thursday.

Information from Winston Police said the disturbance was between a man and a woman. 46-year old Terrence Alford was charged with strangulation, third degree assault and for violation of a release agreement. He was detained on $61,250 bail.

The woman was transported to the hospital due to her injuries.
