HEAT ADVISORY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT

September 3, 2020 3:45 a.m.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Thursday evening at 11:00 p.m.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures will range from 95 degrees to 102 degrees with overnight lows as warm as 65 degrees in central Douglas County.

Forecasters said the combination of warm overnight temperatures, hot daytime temperatures, and dry conditions will make it difficult to stay hydrated and cool. The potential for heat related illnesses is significantly higher, especially for those working outside and for those that lack access to adequate cooling resources.

Hot temperatures will potentially continue through Labor Day weekend, though the afternoon highs are expected to drop several degrees Friday and Saturday, before increasing again starting on Sunday,
