Contractors working for the City of Roseburg will be performing night work on Northeast Winchester Street starting Monday evening.

Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said during this time, contractors will continue making improvements, which will extend the useful life of the street. From 12:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., contractors will be lowering manholes and valves to prepare the street for a two-inch grind and inlay. Additionally, crews will conduct road base repairs at various sections along the street.

Johnson said traffic impacts are expected to be minimal. However, due to the nature and timing of the work being done, nearby residents may experience higher than normal noise levels.
