A task force consisting of four engines and a water tender from various Douglas County fire departments has been deployed to help with structure protection and fire suppression operations at the White River Fire in Wasco County.
The group, which was deployed Saturday morning, is one of seven task forces from around the state that have been mobilized through the Conflagration Act for the White River Fire.
The Douglas County task force consists of personnel and equipment from Douglas County Fire District No. 2, Riddle Rural Fire Department, Roseburg Fire Department, Sutherlin Fire Department and Oakland Rural Fire Department.
