FOREST SERVICE TO EXTEND SEASON AT SEVERAL CAMPGROUNDS

August 27, 2020 3:50 a.m.

The U.S. Forest Service will be extending the traditional campground season on several districts due to unprecedented levels of visitors to the forest and the need to provide the service to the American public.

That’s the message issued in a Forest Service release on Wednesday.

Umpqua National Forest Supervisor Alice Carleton said “Because of the sheer number of visitors and a need for a longer season this year, we have made the decision to extend the availability for camping wherever possible”.

Complete details on which campgrounds will be extending their camping season is posted with this story at www.541radio.com
