COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 438 as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 212 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 25,761. The new cases include:
*47 in Washington County
*40 in Marion County
*27 in Multnomah County
*18 in Clackamas County
*15 in Jackson County
*12 in Malheur County
*8 each in Lane and Umatilla counties
*5 each in Klamath and Linn counties
*4 each in Deschutes and Yamhill counties
*3 each in Morrow and Polk counties
*2 each in Jefferson, Columbia, Josephine, and Union counties
*1 each in Douglas, Benton, Hood River, Clatsop and Lincoln counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 74 to 97. 4 lived in Washington County and 1 lived in Malheur County.
OHA reported an outbreak of 21 COVID-19 cases has been reported at Independent Transport in Morrow County. The case count includes all persons linked to the outbreak, which may include household members and other close contacts to an employee. State and county public health officials are working with the company to address the outbreak and protect the health of workers.
