No one was hurt in a single vehicle accident in the Riddle area on Sunday afternoon.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just before 2:00 p.m. an 18-year old woman was driving near Stanton Park and Ravenswood. The report said she was trying to help someone use their phone and looked away from the road. When she looked back up, she realized she was headed towards a concrete pillar, so she tried to correct back onto the road.

The report said the woman managed to miss the pillar, but totaled the front end of her vehicle in the wreck. The woman had a bloody knee but refused medical attention.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The woman was cited for careless driving.
