ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY GIVING OUT FOOD ON TUESDAY

The Douglas County St. Vincent De Paul Society will be giving out food for those in need at three locations on Tuesday.

In Roseburg, food boxes will be available from the parking lot of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at the corner of West Harvard and Stewart Parkway starting at 7:30 a.m.

In Myrtle Creek, food boxes will be distributed from the parking lot just across the bridge by Tommy’s near the covered bridge, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The Sutherlin St. Vincent De Paul Society will offer food from the group’s thrift store on West Central starting at 8:00 a.m.

All food boxes are free with no questions asked. Residents can simply go to one of the locations and open their trunk and the food will be placed inside. The food is part of the Farms to Families federal program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Catholic church in western Oregon received a grant to help in distribution of the food boxes in western Oregon.

Roseburg St. Vincent De Paul is open Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the campus of St. Joseph Church. Call 680-0680 for more information.
