A Roseburg man was cited for first degree counts of theft and criminal mischief and was later in an accident, on Thursday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 12:20 p.m. the 55-year was contacted in the 3000 block of Stewart Parkway regarding a previous case in which he allegedly stole a trailer and caused significant damage to it. He was released after being cited.
At 5:00 p.m. the man was witnessed driving over two curbs and speeding through the parking lot at Mercy Medical Center. The report said he reached a corner and drove his vehicle up an embankment and into a tree. At last check he is listed in critical condition at Mercy, according to a hospital spokesperson. The case is under investigation.
