COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 414 as of Friday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 259 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 24,421. The new cases include:
*55 in Marion County
*38 in Multnomah County
*28 in Malheur County
*25 in Washington County
*18 each in Jackson and Yamhill counties
*17 in Umatilla County
*16 in Clackamas County
*8 in Polk County
*6 each in Jefferson and Lincoln counties
*4 in Lane County
*3 in each in Linn and Morrow counties
*2 each in Benton, Deschutes, Hood River and Klamath counties
*1 each in Columbia, Coos, Curry, Douglas, Union and Wasco counties
Oregon’s 413th COVID-19 death is a 79-year old man in Lane County who tested positive on July 24th and died on August 19th at PeaceHealth Sacred Heath Medical at Riverbend in Springfield.
Oregon’s 414th COVID-19 death is a 96-year old woman in Marion County who tested positive on August 11th and died on August 19th at Salem Hospital
Both had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
