DINT ARRESTS THREE FOR METH CRIMES

Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team arrested three people for methamphetamine crimes, on Wednesday.

Lieutenant Rick McArthur said at approximately 6:30 p.m. DINT, with help from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, attempted a traffic stop on a sedan being driven by 42-year old Sondra Haney of Roseburg. The vehicle was in the 5,000 block of Highway 99, just outside of Drain.

McArthur said Haney at first stopped, then tried to speed away and elude officers. She was stopped for good in a very short distance just as the passengers started throwing items out of the vehicle. McArthur said detectives located 905 grams, around 2 pounds, of suspected methamphetamine as well as a Kel Tec 9mm handgun. McArthur told News Radio 1240 KQEN that those apprehended are considered to be very high-level drug dealers. He said the average meth user uses 1 gram a day.

All three occupants were arrested and taken to jail. Haney had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for probation violation. She was also charged with attempting to elude a police officer and for unlawful possession and delivery of meth. Bail was set at $201,375.

38-year old Christa Hermanson, of Roseburg, was charged with unlawful possession and delivery of meth and for a felony probation violation. She was held on $500,000 bail.

27-year old Kasey Massengill, of Springfield was charged with unlawful possession of meth, being a felon in possession of a firearm and for a warrant for his arrest out of Lane County. Bail was set at $50,000.
