A Roseburg man was cited after reportedly trying to steal a shopping cart full of alcohol on Monday afternoon.

Information from RPD said just after 5:00 p.m. the 43-year old allegedly walked out of Safeway with the items which he had not paid for. He was found near Gaddis Park pushing the cart of alcohol. The alcohol and the cart were recovered and returned to the store.

The suspect was cited for second degree theft and was released.
