MAN CITED AFTER YELLING AND PUNCHING SIGNS

A Roseburg man was cited after it was reported that he was yelling and punching signs in the parking lot of Walmart on Northwest Stewart Parkway.

Information from Roseburg Police said at around 6:00 p.m. when the officer arrived, the suspect was charging at employees as they ran away. The 31-year old was held at taser point until a second officer arrived. When the second officer approached, the suspect got up and ran away but was caught and arrested. The report said the man threatened to fight store employees, firefighters and medics. Once at the jail, he could not be lodged due to COVID-19 restrictions.

He was cited for second degree disorderly conduct and for interfering with a police officer.
