In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Art in the Park starts on Thursday night.
Umpqua Valley Arts is holding a series of craft and sip workshops with local artists and makers. They will be held in Fir Grove Park behind the arts center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Limited space is available for each workshop. Workshops include:
*August 13th: Driftwood Dreamcatchers with artist and Whiskey Creek Rustics business owner Sarah Gallino.
*August 20th: Succulent Arrangements with Barbara Hagedorn of Barb’s Flowers.
*August 27th: Custom Designed Hats with Whiskey Creek Rustics Owner Sarah Gallino
*September 3rd: Tie Die Apparel artist and UVA instructor Victoria Carnate
*September 10th: Custom Oregon Signs with MANCrafts business owner Justin Troxel
Workshops are $35 per night for members and $40 per workshop for nonmembers. A season pass for all 5 workshops is $175. UVA will provide water. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
