A Roseburg man was hurt in a motorcycle versus SUV accident on Monday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 11:15 a.m. an 89-year old male motorist was northbound on Eagle Valley Road near Yoncalla. The driver was attempting a left-hand corner onto Oak Street and apparently did not see a southbound motorcyclist. The motorcycle struck the passenger front end of the SUV, sending the 34-year old rider into the air.
Matthew Lager was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield with possible internal injuries.
The motorist was cited for driving while suspended and for making a dangerous left turn. The report said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
