The City of Roseburg has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

A release said the award came from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

The release said the award is for the fiscal year that ended on June 30th, 2019. The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the standards of the program, which includes demonstrating “a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR”, according to the release.

The release said the certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

City Finance Director Ron Harker said the City is proud to have received the certificate of achievement for the past twenty-seven consecutive years.
