A 17-year old juvenile was detained and a 35-year old man was cited following a fight on Sunday night.

A report from the Roseburg Police said at 7:40 p.m. officers were sent to the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Through the investigation, it was found that the juvenile got into the altercation was the man, punching him multiple times. The man’s eye was swollen shut and he was taken to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation. The report said the juvenile was found to be intoxicated as well.

The juvenile was lodged at Juvenile Detention and charged with fourth degree assault and for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The man was cited for providing alcohol to the juvenile prior to the fight.
