MAN JAILED AFTER SHOTS FIRED NEAR WINSTON FRIDAY

A man was jailed after firing several shots from his handgun during an argument regarding electricity, near Winston on Friday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 9:30 a.m. a victim said that 34-year old Samuel Crawford had violated his restraining order during an incident in the 1,000 block of Kent Creek Road.

The report said the suspect had also grabbed the victim’s phone and thrown it across the lawn during the incident.

Crawford was taken into custody and admitted to violating his restraining order and firing his weapon while yelling at the victim.

He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, harassment and for violating his restraining order. Bail was set at $63,750.
