COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 265 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state death toll to 356 as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 263 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 21,272. The new cases include:

*66 in Multnomah County

*42 in Washington County

*40 in Umatilla County

*28 in Marion County

*15 each in Clackamas and Malheur counties

*10 in Yamhill County

*8 in Deschutes County

*7 in Hood River County

*6 in Lane County

*5 in Jefferson County

*4 in Linn and Jackson counties

3 each in Morrow and Wasco counties

*2 each in Columbia and Lincoln counties

*1 each in Douglas, Josephine and Polk counties

Oregon’s newest COVID-19 death is a 72-year old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on August 2nd and died on August 6th at Providence Saint Vincent Medical Center. He had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
