A 19-year old man was jailed on stolen vehicle charges Tuesday night.

A report from the Sutherlin Police Department said at about 8:15 p.m. an officer saw a vehicle on West Central Avenue and knew it was stolen. The report said he contacted three people who were with the car, who said they had all pitched in to buy it, but all had different stories.

Two of the individuals cited and released but Austen Ward was jailed on a warrant and cited for unlawful possession of LSD. Psilosybin mushrooms, heroin and meth were also located in the vehicle. Charges also included unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and for possession of a stolen vehicle. He was detained without bail.
