COVID-19 HAS CLAIMED 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 338

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, with the state death toll at 338 as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 299 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 19,979. The new cases include:

*59 in Multnomah County

*48 in Washington County

*42 in Marion County

*26 in Umatilla County

*20 in Clackamas County

*19 in Lincoln County

*12 in Jackson County

*10 in Morrow County

*9 in Jefferson County

*8 in each Linn and Deschutes counties

*7 in Malheur County

*6 in Yamhill County

*5 in Lane County

*4 in Hood River County

*2 each in Benton, Columbia, Klamath, Polk and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Douglas, Baker, Clatsop, Coos, Josephine and Wasco counties

The new deaths range in age from 67 to 87. 2 lived in Umatilla County with 1 each in Clackamas, Washington and Josephine counties.

3 larger outbreaks at worksites have been reported by OHA.

*76 cases at Lamb Weston facilities in Boardman

*27 cases at Walmart in Umatilla County

*20 cases at the OR1 construction site in Multnomah County.

The update said state and county public health officials are working with these organizations to address the outbreaks and protect the health of workers.
