Sutherlin Police arrested a man for online sex crimes on Saturday.

Sergeant Ben Woodward of SPD said 42-year old Corey Canty was detained in Myrtle Creek just after 6:00 p.m. Woodward said charges include first and second degree counts of online sexual corruption of a child, and luring a minor.

Woodward said due to the nature and sensitivity of the crimes committed, and the on-going investigation, SPD is unable to release more information regarding how the alleged crimes were committed.

Bail was set at $200,000.
