NO NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 2 PRESUMPTIVE CASES OF COVID-19

No one has received positive test results, but there are 2 presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Monday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 134. Of those, 125 have had positive test results and 9 are presumptive. There has been 1 death. No one is currently hospitalized. 21 people are in isolation. 7,970 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The update said health officials are continuing to stress the importance of limiting travel. Several of the newest positive cases have been directly linked to travel outside Douglas County, and especially to travel outside the state of Oregon. The update said data from federal and state health officials shows that traveling and coming into contact with people from other areas, especially COVID-19 hotspots, does significantly increase the chances of getting and spreading COVID-19.

The next drive through testing clinic with the Douglas Public Health Network will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
