COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 328

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 328 as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 272 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 19,366. The new cases include:

*64 in Umatilla County

*49 in Multnomah County

*27 each in Marion and Yamhill counties

*21 in Clackamas County

*19 in Washington County

*9 each in Jackson and Wasco counties

*7 in Polk County

*6 in Linn County

*5 in Lane County

*4 in Lincoln County

*3 each in Deschutes, Malheur and Baker counties

*2 each in Douglas, Benton, Clatsop, Josephine, Klamath and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Coos, Jefferson, and Morrow counties

Oregon’s 327th COVID-19 death is a 71-year old man in Marion County who tested positive on July 6th and died on August 1st. His place of death is being confirmed. He had underlying conditions.

Oregon’s 328th COVID-19 death is 50-year old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on July 20th and died on July 29th at Providence Portland Medical Center. The presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
