A missing woman was found late Thursday night.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had been trying to locate 82-year old Elizabeth “Kay” Carroll. O’Dell said the woman, who has dementia, had last been seen at 11:00 a.m. Thursday when she left her home in the Green District, in her mini-van. At 3:00 p.m. she was reported missing as her family was concerned about her welfare, and her destination was not known.

O’Dell said Carroll was located safe by the Oregon State Police in Coos County.
