The Winston City Council acted on a number of items at their most recent meeting on July 20th.

Information released by city staff on Wednesday said the council unanimously approved:

*Adding an additional school resource officer for the Winston Dillard School District. The position will be fully funded by the school district.

*Placing a measure on the November 2020 ballot to allow marijuana dispensaries to be located inside the city.

*Amending the municipal code to add the months of April and October to the allowed months of May and November for backyard debris burning inside the city.
