The Oregon Health Authority reported 340 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
No new deaths were reported. The total number of cases in the state is now at 17,088. The new cases include:
*119 in Multnomah County
*61 in Washington County
*47 in Umatilla County
*26 in Marion County
*11 each in Deschutes and Jackson counties
*9 each in Jefferson,Polk and Yamhill counties
*8 each in Lane and Malheur counties
*7 in Clackamas County
*4 in Morrow County
*2 in Benton County
*1 each in Douglas, Columbia, Coos, Crook, Harney, Hood River, Lincoln, and Wasco counties
The update said 38,179 COVID-19 tests were reported last week of which 4.8 percent were positive. That represents the first weekly decline in percent positivity since it began increasing in late May.
OHA continues to receive widespread reports of extended turnaround time from commercial laboratories. In some cases, results are being reported up to two weeks following specimen collection. The update said supply shortages due to supply chain issues “continue to be of concern” and OHA is closely monitoring the situation.
