An investigation is underway into a stabbing that took place in Glendale on Monday night.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the incident was reported at about 6:10 p.m. and reportedly took place in the 200 block of Montgomery Avenue.
O’Dell said when deputies arrived, they learned that a 15-year old male was upset with a 16-year old female juvenile and had threatened to stab her with a knife. O’Dell said 18-year old Joseph Fish of Glendale attempted to intervene and ended up fighting with the 15-year old male. During the fight, Fish was stabbed in the side of the neck, according to the report. The 16-year old sustained a minor cut to her elbow during the incident.
O’Dell said the suspect is known to law enforcement and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Detectives believe he is possibly enroute to California. The suspect is not believed to be a threat to the public, according to O’Dell.
The case is currently being investigated by the DCSO Detective Division.
