Detectives are investigating a stabbing incident which took place in Green on Monday evening.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 9:20 p.m. 911 dispatchers received a report of a stabbing which had taken place in the 400 block of Harmony Drive.

O’Dell said when deputies arrived, they located three individuals with injuries. Deputies learned a disturbance had taken place over money. During the incident, 50-year old James Nance of Idleyld Park was struck over the head with a shovel. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance for an evaluation.

O’Dell said Jack Salberg and Brandon Welter, both age 34 and of Roseburg, sought medical attention on their own after sustaining cuts.

Deputies arrested 34-year old Ryan Weber and 26-year Autumn Smith on unrelated warrants. They were jailed but were released that evening.
