A Sutherlin man was jailed on felony strangulation and harassment charges by Sutherlin Police early Wednesday.

Captain Kurt Sorenson said late Tuesday night an officer went to the home of 49-year old Donald Allen, following the report of a disturbance. Sorenson said the investigating officer learned of another incident that allegedly took place on July 4th as well.

Allen was initially detained on $52,250 bail.
