COVID-19 CLAIMS 7 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 244 AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, with the state death toll at 244 as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 380 new confirmed and presumptive cases. It said the last time Oregon saw 7 deaths in a single day was on April 28th. The new cases include:

*76 each in Multnomah and Umatilla counties

*53 in Washington County

*46 in Marion County

*35 in Malheur County

*21 in Clackamas County

*9 in Deschutes County

*8 in Lane County

*7 each in Jackson and Morrow counties

*6 each in Josephine and Yamhill counties

*3 each in Benton, Columbia, Hood River, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*2 each in Douglas, Jefferson, Linn and Klamath counties

*1 each in Clatsop, Coos, Crook, and Polk counties

The newly reported deaths range in age from 70 to 95. 2 were in Lincoln county with 1 each in Marion, Clackamas, Wasco, Lincoln and Malheur counties. All had underlying medical conditions, according to the OHA.
