A Winston woman was charged with two counts of attempting to assault a police officer late Friday.

A report from the Winston Police said officers responded to a call of a disturbance in the 100 block of Pintail. 49-year old Michelle Greer was found to be the aggressor and was held for assault. The report said while being taken into custody, she allegedly tried to kick and bite officers.

She was also held for fourth degree assault and for a probation violation. Greer was held without bail.
