COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 237

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, with the state death toll at 237 as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 280 new cases, bringing the state total to 12,438.  The new cases include:

*82 in Multnomah County

*47 in Washington County

*36 in Marion County

*28 in Umatilla County

*27 in Malheur County

*20 in Clackamas County

*9 in Morrow County

*8 in Yamhill County

*6 in Columbia County

*4 in Lane County

*3 in Jackson County

*2 each in Coos, Hood River and Polk counties

*1 each in Klamath, Gilliam, Linn and Wallowa counties

The new reported deaths range in age from 54 to 76 and were all men. They lived in Marion, Clackamas and Umatilla counties.
An outbreak of 20 cases has been reported at Shearer’s Foods in Umatilla County. An outbreak of 102 cases has been reported at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Malheur County. Both case counts may include household members and other close contacts to an employee. The update said state and county public health officials are working with both organizations to address the outbreaks and protect the health of workers.
