Four people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident near Interstate Five Sunday afternoon.

Information from Oregon State Police said just past 3:15 p.m. a vehicle was headed south on the freeway and took the Weaver Road exit south of Myrtle Creek. It failed to stop at a stop sign and drove east on Weaver Road. It crashed into a second vehicle which was headed west. The report said both vehicles sustained major damage.

Those hurt included three passengers in the first vehicle and one passenger in the second one. Information about their medical status was not provided. The driver who caused the wreck was cited for careless driving.
