COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 234 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, with the state death toll at 234 as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 332 new confirmed and presumptive cases bringing the state total to 12,170. The new cases include:

*71 in Malheur County

*70 in Multnomah County

*35 in Washington County

*33 in Clackamas County

*28 in Marion County

*27 in Umatilla County

*16 in Deschutes County

*10 in Lane County

*8 in Linn County

*7 in Morrow County

*5 in Jefferson County

*4 each in Douglas, Polk and Yamhill counties

*2 each in Jackson, Benton and Klamath counties

*1 each in Baker, Hood River, Sherman and Wasco counties

Oregon’s 233rd COVID-19 death is an 86-year old woman in Malheur County who tested positive on June 29th. The date and location of death are not available. She had underlying conditions.

Oregon’s 234th COVID-19 death is a 93-year old woman in Washington County who died on July 7th and tested positive post-mortem on July 11th. Additional details are being confirmed.
