A Roseburg woman was cited after allegedly failing to yield to police on Thursday night.

Information from Roseburg Police said at about 7:40 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle allegedly driving 50 to 55 miles per hour on Stewart Parkway near the intersection with Harvey. The report said the sedan nearly rear ended another vehicle, causing it to make an evasive maneuver to avoid the collision.

The report said the officer tried to stop the vehicle near Stewart Park, but the driver ignored the lights and sirens and drove to their residence off of West Harvard. The 55-year old displayed signs of impairment and was charged with DUII alcohol, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and for failure to drive within a lane.

The woman was released after being cited.
