The Roseburg Coastal Farm & Ranch store will give away 300 life jackets for kids up to 12 years of age on Saturday.

A release said the free giveaway will be a drive through event in the north parking lot of the Douglas County Fairgrounds from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The first come, first serve event will have Coastal employees and volunteers wearing masks and following all social distancing guidelines, according to the release.

Coastal President Lori McKinnon said “water safety is top of mind for all of us here at Coastal”. She said this year the company is giving away over 5,000 life jackets to kids, company-wide. She said Coastal hopes to help make a difference “when it comes to families coming home safe after a day of playing in the water”.

The event will include a live broadcast with partner station 104-5 SAM FM.
