Roseburg Police jailed a man on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct on Wednesday night.
An RPD report said at about 8:20 p.m. officers responded to the area of Diamond Lake and Fulton for a report of a man pointing a handgun at the Dollar General. Officers located a 55-year old transient who said he had a Co2 powered pellet gun and that it was not in his possession.
The report said the man became uncooperative during the contact but officers were able to divert his attention long enough to locate the firearm on a bench. It was confirmed to be a pellet gun.
The man was detained without further incident. Bail was set at $2,500.
